Services

Can you help with hoist transfers?

Yes, as part of personal care and mobility support, where it has been assessed as safe for you. That depends on an individual assessment, the right hoist and sling, a safe transfer plan, demonstrated competence with that equipment, and a second worker where the plan or task requires one. We don’t promise that every hoist or lift can be supported, and hoist use on its own doesn’t make a support high-intensity under the NDIS schedule.

Do you provide personal care?

Yes. Respectful help with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and personal routines, within assessed needs and our competence, with the same worker and the same routine wherever possible.

Personal care and everyday routines

What is community access support?

Practical one-to-one assistance to get out and take part: outings, appointments, groups, activities, shopping, seeing friends, and building confidence on buses and trains. We go at your pace and towards the things you want to be doing more of.

Community access and social participation

Do you help at home with meals and household tasks?

Yes. Meal preparation, appropriate household tasks, laundry and everyday routines, as part of in-home support. For NDIS-funded supports, purely domestic visits and support-worker assistance can fall under different NDIS support items; which applies is confirmed in your service agreement.

In-home assistance

Do you help with daily living skills?

Yes, as practical, non-clinical mentoring: cooking, budgeting, planning the week, getting around and keeping appointments, done together until you can do more of it yourself. It isn’t occupational therapy, psychological treatment or specialist training, and which part of a plan funds it depends on the plan.

Daily living skills and non-clinical mentoring

What counts as high-intensity support, and do you provide it?

High-intensity means daily personal activities where the NDIS requires the worker to hold specific skills under the NDIS Practice Standards. We consider this work only where the particular tasks fall within current demonstrated competence, your plan, safe staffing and the practice requirements. Complex needs or equipment alone don’t make a support high-intensity, and ordinary personal care is priced as standard support.

Higher-intensity personal care, within verified competence

Can you support someone with a behaviour support plan?

Yes, day to day: we can follow the non-restrictive, lawful strategies a qualified practitioner has already written, with proper coordination and in communication with the practitioner and your team. We don’t assess behaviour, write plans or provide specialist behaviour support, and we never implement regulated restrictive practices; those parts need a registered specialist or implementing provider.

Day-to-day use of an existing behaviour support plan

What don’t you offer?

Counselling, psychology or allied-health therapy; specialist behaviour support, assessment, plan writing or regulated restrictive practices; supports that need a registered provider; and 24-hour or emergency support. If that’s what you need, we’ll say so and point you towards the right people.

What we don’t offer

Who do you support? Children, adults, older people?

Children and young people, adults and older people, depending on the support needed. Each enquiry is looked at individually, including capacity, scheduling, safeguarding checks and whether we’re the right people for the role. We don’t assume every need or age fits.

Who we support

Is support one-to-one?

Yes. Everything we provide is one-to-one, shaped around the person, their routines and their goals. We don’t run group programs or centre-based activities.

Funding

Which NDIS funding types can I use?

Plan-managed and self-managed NDIS funding both work for eligible supports, and you can also pay privately without an NDIS plan. NDIA-managed (agency-managed) funding needs a registered provider, which Hope Filled Horizons isn’t at present. Whether a specific support can be funded from your plan depends on the support and how the plan is managed; your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm.

Does my NDIS funding qualify?

Are you an NDIS-registered provider?

Not currently. For eligible supports, participants can use plan-managed or self-managed funding, or pay privately. NDIA-managed NDIS-funded supports require a registered provider. Our founder holds an NDIS Worker Screening clearance, which is a check on him as a worker and is separate from business registration.

Funding and registration, explained

Can I use you without an NDIS plan?

Yes. We support private, paying clients at the same indicative rates, with the same written service agreement before support starts.

Private, paying directly

Pricing

How much does support cost?

NDIS-funded supports are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, where applicable. Private (non-NDIS) supports are quoted individually. All applicable rates and any additional charges are confirmed in writing before services commence, so you know the cost before anything starts.

Pricing and funding Prices verified 15 October 2026.

Do evenings, weekends and public holidays cost more?

For NDIS-funded supports, the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits set different limits for weekday daytime, evenings, nights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and we charge in accordance with them where applicable. For private supports, times outside weekday daytime are quoted individually. The exact rates for the times you need are confirmed in your service agreement before services commence.

Do self-managed and private clients pay the same as plan-managed participants?

NDIS-funded supports, whether plan-managed or self-managed, are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits where applicable. Private, non-NDIS supports are not governed by NDIS pricing and are quoted individually. Either way, the rates are confirmed in writing before services commence.

Is GST added?

Supports funded under an NDIS plan and a written agreement are generally GST-free. For private, non-NDIS arrangements the tax treatment can differ and is confirmed in your quote and agreement.

What happens if I need to cancel a shift?

Tell us as early as you can. Any short-notice cancellation terms are set out in your written service agreement in line with the current NDIS rules; we don’t advertise a cancellation fee on this site. Where notice is given, nothing is charged.

Transport

Do you charge for travelling to my home?

No. We don’t charge for travelling to or from your location when you aren’t with us: no travel time and no kilometres, in either direction.

Travel and transport, plainly

What does it cost if you drive me somewhere?

If we transport you during agreed support, the charge is $0.99 per kilometre while you’re in the vehicle, plus the agreed support time. Our own travel to and from you is free. Tolls, parking and empty trips aren’t charged unless a cost has been agreed in writing beforehand, and for NDIS-funded supports the kilometre charge applies only where your funding arrangement and the current NDIS rules permit it.

Areas

Where do you travel? Do you cover my suburb?

We support Ipswich, Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding communities, including Springfield, Logan, Beenleigh, Ormeau and the northern Gold Coast. Whether a particular suburb works is assessed individually: the support needed, the right worker, scheduling, your location and the travel arrangement we agree. We don’t guarantee every suburb or promise workers everywhere, so please enquire with your suburb and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Where we travel, in detail

Where are you based? Do you have an office?

Hope Filled Horizons is a Queensland company supporting Ipswich, Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding communities. There are no offices or staffed locations; support happens where you are, and availability is assessed for each person.

Where we work

Availability

Are you taking new clients?

A limited number of openings are currently available. Suitability and availability are assessed personally: the support needed, the days and times, your location, and whether we can do it well. Send an enquiry or request a callback and we’ll tell you straight.

Ask about availability

Contact

I’m a support coordinator or plan manager. How do I refer someone?

Use the contact form and say who you are and who the support would be for; choose a callback if you’d rather talk. With the participant’s agreement we work alongside coordinators, plan managers, families and clinicians. Service agreements and invoices follow the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27.

Send an enquiry

Can someone call me?

Yes. Choose “Request a callback” on the contact form and leave your name, phone number and, if you like, a preferred time. We’re often with clients during the day, so leaving a request is the normal way to reach us; we’ll call as soon as we’re free, normally within a business day. We don’t publish a phone number or email address because we can rarely answer on the spot and the form keeps your details out of a public inbox.

Request a callback

How do I enquire?

Use the contact form: “Send an enquiry” (your name, email and a short note about what you’re after) or “Request a callback” (your name and phone number). Enquiring for someone else is fine. We’ll have a conversation about goals, routines, funding and location, be honest about fit and availability, and only then put anything in writing.

Send an enquiry

How quickly will you reply?

As soon as we’re free, normally within a business day. If you give an email address when you enquire, you can also receive a short acknowledgement by email. Receiving your request is an acknowledgement, not yet an agreement to provide support.

Contact

What happens before support starts?

A conversation first: goals, routines, who else is involved, funding and location, and whether it’s something we can do well right now. If it’s a good fit and we have capacity, the supports, times and charges go into a written service agreement before anything begins. If it isn’t a fit, we’ll say so and point you somewhere useful.

How it works

About

Who will actually turn up?

Right now, our founder Jethro Geier delivers the support himself. The company has engaged other workers before and will again as the right people come along; anyone we engage goes through the same checks and is introduced to you before support starts. We aim for familiar faces and tell you early if something has to change.

About the founder and how the company grows

Are you hiring, and how do you choose workers?

We want to grow, carefully. Capacity is genuinely limited while the founder delivers support himself, and we add workers only when the right people are available, with the same checks and the same expectations, rather than filling positions for the sake of growth. We don’t publish a roster or promise worker availability.

Growing carefully, on purpose

What checks and training does the worker hold?

Our founder holds an NDIS Worker Screening clearance (Queensland), a Blue Card for working with children, First Aid and CPR training, and the NDIS Worker Orientation module. Any worker the company engages goes through the same screening.

Checks and training

What do you do with my information?

We collect only what’s needed to respond and, if we go on to provide support, to do it safely and invoice for it. Nothing is sold or traded, and information is shared only with the people you agree to or where the law requires. The first enquiry form deliberately doesn’t ask for diagnoses, NDIS numbers or medical records.

Privacy

How do I give feedback or make a complaint?

Tell us directly; feedback and complaints go straight to the director, and when we get something wrong we say so and fix it. If we can’t resolve a complaint with you, you can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, which handles complaints about any NDIS provider.

Your information, your say

What can I expect from you?

We discuss fit, scope, costs and availability before we commit to anything, then do what we agreed. We’re candid about capacity, keep routines consistent, tell you early when something has to change, respect your choices and privacy, work alongside the people you trust, and take feedback seriously. We won’t promise everything; we’ll keep the promises we make.
